What We Collect

Garden Visualizer collects only the information necessary to provide the visualization service:

• Garden photos you upload for visualization purposes
• ZIP code to determine your USDA hardiness zone (not stored after your session)
• Plant selections made during your session

Photo Handling

• EXIF metadata (GPS location, camera info, etc.) is stripped from photos before storage
• Uploaded photos and generated visualizations are automatically deleted after 7 days
• Photos are sent to Google Gemini for AI processing and are subject to Google's AI Terms of Service
• Photos are not used for marketing or shared with third parties

No Account Required

Garden Visualizer operates without user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information. Sessions are anonymous and identified only by a temporary browser cookie.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API — processes garden photos to generate visualizations
• Cloudflare R2 — temporarily stores uploaded photos and generated images
• Shopify — when you click "Buy" or "Add to Cart", you are redirected to our Shopify store which has its own privacy policy

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to track your generation count (limited to 15 per session) and maintain your session state. No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used.
